14 DAY TRIAL // The player community associated with the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena DOTA 2 has managed to increase the prize pool for the coming International tournament by more than 1 million dollars (760,000 Euro) by buying the special compendium.
Each purchase adds a small amount to the prize and at the same time increases Valve’s profit.
Estimates show that since the International DOTA 2 Compendium was launched, the company has managed to get more than 7 million dollars as contributions from the community.
By reaching the 2.6 million dollars mark (1.8 million Euro), gamers have also unlocked a new special item for all those who own the Compendium.
The International DOTA 2 tournament is currently scheduled to take place on August 7 in Seattle and will bring together the best players in the world.
