The development team at DICE announces that it is taking down the Battlelog service on Wednesday, September 25 between 9 AM and 11 AM Central European Time in order to prepare it for the imminent deployment of the Battlefield 4 beta stage.

The official Twitter account of the company states, “[Battlelog update] 25 Sep 9:00 AM CET – 11:00 AM CET Battlelog will be unavailable due to preparations for the Battlefield 4 Beta.”

The service is designed to become even more ubiquitous and useful for gamers when Battlefield 4 launches, with more information about their performance and more options to join friends in online matches.

Battlelog has been successful enough for the shooter series that Electronic Arts has also adapted it for other titles, like Need for Speed.

Battlefield 4 will be out on October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe on the PC and current-gen consoles.
