Video game developer DICE suggests that Battlefield 5 might be developed faster than any other title in the series and could be launched in just a few years.

Videogamer quotes Patrick Bach, the executive producer on the series, as saying that his team already has a number of ideas about the kind of experience it plans to deliver, with more extras, weapons and destruction.

He says, “Every new game needs to be the next big thing.”

The statements are a little premature considering that Battlefield 4 is set to be launched on October 29 in North America and three days later in Europe.

The core idea of the title is Levolution, a new system designed to make all maps dynamic by introducing elements that change the gameplay as a match progresses.

Bach might have been talking about the possibility of creating a new entry in the Bad Company spin-off series.
