The game is designed to offer more offensive options

The development team at DICE working on Battlefield 4 says that players will have to take enemy weak spots into account in order to be able to get into the best position and use a powerful enough weapon to take out vehicles.

The core system is similar to that used in Battlefield 3, but the studio has fine-tuned the various values involved and fixed some design issues.

Positioning will be key and that means players will have to move around the battle area with a clear idea of how they want to attack a vehicle.

DICE writes on an official blog that, “A straight shot, perpendicular to the face of the vehicle where the impact occurs, will deal the most damage. A shot at a more ‘glancing’ angle will deal less damage. So steady aim, ambushing and flanking heavy vehicles is the key to taking them down.”

For the first time, Battlefield 4 includes a top armor value in order to be able to simulate the attack coming from the Javelin and other laser guided missiles.
