Lars Gustavsson, a creative director at DICE, says that the team working on Battlefield 4 has innovated a lot because it needs to work within the confine of modern military technology and tactics.

He tells The Official Xbox Magazine that, “sticking to any era from true life makes you have to look harder for more possibilities to bring in for cool gameplay, but I think for Battlefield 4 this definitely hasn’t been a limiting factor or a limitation.”

As soon as Battlefield 3 was launched, the company started thinking about the ways it could expand the experience and add more customization for players and more items for them to use.

The most recent entry in the first-person shooter series is designed to deliver a solid single-player experience and a complex yet approachable multiplayer.

It is currently out in the United States and arrives in Europe on November 1.
