Video game developer DICE says that it still appreciates the impact that the Bad Company spin-off had and that a sequel will be delivered, but not any time soon.

Lars Gustavsson, an executive at the studio, is quoted by Polygon as saying that, “When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don't take yourself too seriously. So I love it. I want to see it again.”

The developer also says that Mirror’s Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront are at the moment the two main projects in development at the company and resources are lacking for Bad Company 3.

He tells fans to think of the series as currently being on a long-term vacation.

Right now, DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are getting ready to launch Battlefield 4, which is at the moment in an open beta stage on the PC and on current-gen consoles.
