The team at Oculus Rift working on virtual reality tech announces that the newest version of its device is called Crystal Cover and is designed to expand the reach of the concept while being used in seated positions.

A Reddit Questions and Answers session with Palmer Luckey, the founder of the company, and Nate Mitchell, a vice president in charge of products, reveals that they are aiming to continue improving the virtual reality experience in the coming months.

The pair says that Oculus Rift is designed to make gaming more immersive and interesting and talk about the kinds of issues they are currently dealing with in the development process.

The initial funds required for the new device was raised using crowdfunding on Kickstarter but at the moment the company is raising money from a number of investors in order to bring a consumer version of the Oculus Rift to the market.
