Crusader Kings 2, the impressive historical strategy game made by Paradox Interactive, is now free to download and play for a whole week on the Steam digital distribution service, meaning that any user can enjoy the experience until next week.

Crusader Kings 2 appeared way back in 2012, but thanks to constant updates, different expansions and new content, the game continues to command a huge following. Throw in all sorts of ambitious mods made by users, which turn the European strategy game into fantasy universes like Game of Thrones, and the title is still a solid experience.

For those who have yet to buy or at least try out the game, Paradox confirms on the official Facebook page that Crusader Kings 2 is now available as a free download from the Steam service throughout the current week.

As such, any users can download and play the game free of charge until Monday, February 23.

Those who like what they play can also score a 75% price cut that's available until February 20, so act fast.

Those who already have the base game can enjoy 75% discounts on most of its different DLC packs and add-ons, although the most recent way, Way of Life, is still at full price.
