Critical Hit will be co-heading the Orlando Nerd Fest 2014, along with The Earthbound Papas, famous composer Nobuo Uematsu's band. If you're wondering what he's famous for, you should know that it’s for all the music in Final Fantasy, for one.

If you're wondering what Critical Hit is famous for, apart from having an all-star line-up featuring World of Warcraft composer Jason Hayes, yes, the very one from Blizzard whose tunes you're whistling while caressing that Trillium node with your pickaxe.

They're a video game music tribute band, performing covers of popular songs from various popular franchises, adding their own twists and original arrangements.

Their debut album, Critical Hit: Volume One, features 12 of gaming's greatest hits, with the band's take on stuff ranging from the main themes of Metal Gear Solid 2, Tetris and Angry Birds to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Battle for New York or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Streets of Whiterun.

The band has also unveiled their latest creation, a music video for their interpretation of the Tetris theme, dancing to which most probably involves contorting your body to represent various types of blocks from the arcade classic.

If you want to hear what they sound like, watch the video below and visit their website, where you can find more samples from their album.
