The first-person shooter features some rather vicious undead

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is starting its open beta test today, so grab your mouse and head over to show those pesky living dead who's boss.

The game has a weird name, due to the fact that the Korean developer insisted on sticking its own name into the title. Nexon has a pretty fruitful collaboration with Counter-Strike developer Valve, being the one responsible for handling the team-based first-person shooter in Asia, dubbed Counter-Strike Online.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is the classic game, featuring new guns, new modes, and a ton of zombies waiting to get shot in the face, or rather to claw off your own face should you fail to "pacify" them.

The beta kicks off today and ends on September 25, at 9:00 AM PDT / 4:00 PM GMT, offering those who participate the chance to earn various rewards by simply logging into the game.

Given the fact that the title is free-to-play, there is also a cash shop, where you can unlock items and get crafting materials. Participating in the beta will award you with guns, medikits, and the various tools needed to craft new weapons, and all the original weapons in the game will be accessible to everyone from the get-go.

Progress from the beta will be wiped after the testing phase is over, and the game will be launched in full sometime next month.
