There's a new Counter-Strike game coming out soon, and if you're wondering what could anyone possibly add to the experience, well, the answer is zombies.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is based on the consecrated team-based first-person shooter series that gives it its name, and is created by Korean developer Nexon, in collaboration with Valve.

As you would expect from a game titled Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, the shooter is packed with hardy military men looking to shoot stuff, and, of course, with zombies looking for some tasty brain matter.

The zombies in the game will be far from the shambling wretches seen on The Walking Dead, and instead are very fast and aggressive, according to the official description.

The upcoming game includes, as the title might suggest, the traditional Hostage Rescue and Bomb Defusal modes. This isn't the first time that the two companies are teaming up, as they have been working together for quite some time in Asia, on Counter-Strike Online.

"Today we are announcing the latest creation from Nexon in the Counter-Strike world, one that builds upon years of success in developing CS Online for Asia. This title showcases that work in new, zombie, and classic form," said Director of Marketing at Valve Doug Lombardi.

The game will be free to play and is scheduled to come out in the West on Steam sometime during Q3 2014. In case you're curious how zombies fit into Counter-Strike, take a look at the gameplay footage from a CS mod below.
