Compulsion Games, the makers of the acclaimed Contrast, are teasing us with some new concept art pieces from their upcoming project.

The developer has been pretty quiet since the release of Contrast at the end of 2013, but now their website is updated with some new information regarding the mysterious upcoming video game.

The company stated that the future game would not be a sequel to Contrast, but instead something entirely new. A Contrast 2 may still be in the cards at some point in the future, but for the time being the team wants to focus on the new project.

Unfortunately, there really isn't any information on the upcoming game, as developers Compulsion Game aren't yet ready to really start talking about it, but we do get 2 interesting-looking pieces of concept art.

The developers state that the game is "new and exciting" and that it involves masks, drugs and memory loss, and taking into account the superb noir atmosphere of Contrast, we're most likely in for something pretty interesting.

Contrast also had some pretty interesting gameplay mechanics, blending 2D and 3D gameplay with plays on shadows, enacted by an imaginary character, able to interact with the strange world.
