A live-action series based on the upcoming Mega Man spiritual successor Mighty No. 9 is apparently brewing over at Contradiction Films.
Contradiction Films is the studio also behind the Mortal Kombat inspired live-action web series titled Mortal Kombat: Legacy.
The news came via an interview on EP Live, during which Tim Carter, writer for the Sleeping Dogs video game and writer and producer at Contradiction Films, shared plans for a future Mighty No. 9 series.
Mighty No. 9 is currently in development over at Comcept, and will feature classic Japanese side-scrolling action delivered in a modern format.
The game features an android tasked with the extermination of his brethren, after a computer virus made them go berserk, while its graphics are very colorful and cartoonish.
As such, it will be very interesting to see how a live-action series can be evolved from Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9.
