14 DAY TRIAL // Contra 3: The Alien Wars is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe. The game is listed on the European eShop with a “to be determined” launch date.
Jimbo and Sully are two soldiers tasked with the protection of Earth during an alien invasion. The year is 2636 and the stakes are high, as the two heroes will have to collect power-ups, throw bombs, use homing guns, lasers and spread shots to battle the invaders.
The classic Nintendo Entertainment System title allows for both solo and 2-player action, seeing Jimbo and Sully run, jump and climb through six different stages of furious shooting action, ultimately breaking into the enemy alien base and defeating the boss behind the invasion once and for all.
Contra 3 was originally released in Europe under the title Super Probotector: Alien Rebels. The Wii U Virtual Console release will be the US version of the game, as disclosed in Contra 3's official listing.
