The developers at Relic and publisher SEGA announce that they are launching two new free maps for their strategy title Company of Heroes 2 in order to give the multiplayer-focused players more options when they set up matches.

Rostov is one of the included maps and it’s based on the World War II battle that took place near the town, with up to six players supported.

Kharkov is based on the urban landscape of the second city of the Ukraine, which saw heavy fighting during the conflict, and is designed to support up to four players.

Company of Heroes 2 launched earlier in the year and aims to simulate the entirety of the Second World War via tactical battles that include weather as a significant factor.

Relic has promised more free and paid DLC in the near future.
