Publisher SEGA and developer Relic announce that Company of Heroes 2 is at the moment free on the Steam digital distribution service until January 19, 2014 and that the full game can be bought with a 66 percent price cut.

All those interested in the real-time strategy experience can download it and enjoy both the single and the multiplayer components.

SEGA is also offering all paid commanders for the game, each with its own set of abilities, for free in order to give veterans a taste of the experiences they are missing if they stick with the launch line-up.

Company of Heroes 2 is a solid strategy title, but it has not managed to deliver the same amount of sales as the first title in the series.

Relic continues to support the game with DLC for the single player and with extra multiplayer commanders.
