The development team at Relic and publisher SEGA announce that they are working on a standalone expansion for their Company of Heroes 2, called The Western Front Armies, which is designed to introduce two new factions for the game.

The new content will allow players to experience battles from the standpoint of European theater United States forces and the German Oberkommando West.

Launch date is set for June of this year and the entire package will cost 19.99 dollars or Euro or 12.99 dollars or Euro for each of the two armies individually.

The two new forces will introduce new tactical options, more infantry squads, vehicles, weapons and abilities.

There are also eight new seasonal multipayer maps set on the Western Front, all of them designed to appeal to long-term fans of the title and newcomers alike.

The new content for Company of Heroes 2 also includes a new progression system that will enable gamers to get access to new strategic and tactical options.

Greg Wilson, the executive producer at Relic Entertainment, states, “By offering Western Front focused content to Company of Heroes 2, we are giving players a brand new set of tactical options that significantly expand their multiplayer experience. At the same time, it has never been easier for new players to get access to our vast multiplayer community.”
