The development team at Relic announces that it is launching two new pieces of downloadable content for Company of Heroes 2 and that it is delivering a new Aftermath update that’s designed to improve the overall game experience.

The free DLC is coming because the strategy title managed to defeat Total War: Rome II over the weekend in the Make War, Not Love Steam promotion.

German fans can get access to a Commander with Close Air Support Doctrine, while Russian gamers can use the Advanced Warfare Tactics pack, both available until February 22.

Relic is also delivering the first major 2014 update for Company of Heroes 2, called Aftermath, which adds new battle servers, designed to reduce lag and improve the multiplayer experience.

Gamers can also enjoy a new community-made map and some improvements to the user interface, with a short downtime expected as all the changes are implemented to the strategy title.
