Civilization: Beyond Earth is one of the most interesting strategy titles set to arrive this year and even if it was only recently officially revealed, enough information has been offered on the title to allow fans to put together a final list of the factions included.

The list includes eight potential choices for gamers, with a leader added where possible, according to one of the major fan forums at Civfanatics:

American Reclamation Corporation - Suzanne Marjorie Fielding Kavithan Protectorate - Kavitha Thakur Pan-Asian Cooperative - Daoming Sochua People's African Union - Samatar Jama Barre Slavic Federation - General Kozlov Brazilia Franco-Iberia Polystralia

Unconfirmed reports are suggesting that Bolivar, Elodie and Hutama are the names of the final three leaders that gamers will be able to control.

Civilization: Beyond Earth does not force gamers to pair one personality with one specific faction because the team at Firaxis wants to give them as many options as possible.

The game will take players to a new alien planet and will use classic turn-based strategy mechanics, with some interesting changes like a web-based tech interface and three Affinities that determine the play style.

Civilization: Beyond Earth will be out before the end of the year exclusively on the PC.
