The team at Firaxis is delivering a new video associated with Civilization: Beyond Earth that focuses on details offered by David McDonough, Will Miller and Anton Strenger, all of them developers who are actively working on the title.

The footage offers details on the core ideas of the coming turn-based strategy experience and gives players an insight into how they were initially created.

The game aims to take the familiar Civilization formula to an entirely new world, populated by both flora and fauna that’s actively hostile to the player.

The one military unit per hex mechanics will be present, but the team at Firaxis is planning to deliver multiple planes of action for the gamers to explore.

Beyond Earth will also give players a chance to choose more than their faction when the game starts, with options to also select the type of space shuttle they want to use and the cargo that it will carry to the new world.

Firaxis will offer more details on the core mechanics and the various unique elements of the turn-based strategy title in the coming months.

Civilization: Beyond Earth will be launched on the PC before the end of this year.
