Video game developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive are announcing that Cities: Skylines is now out on the PC, Mac and on Linux and available for download to all those who have pre-ordered the title.

Gamers can get the modern city building experience from digital video game stores for 29.99 dollars or Euro, and those willing to pay 50 percent more can also access 5 exclusive in-game historical monuments to improve their neighborhoods.

The launch trailer for Cities: Skylines is designed to focus on the classic elements of the city building genre and to show how the development team has managed to take them and make them interesting for a modern audience.

Gamers will be able to create a complex transport system, decide where their citizens will live and where they will work and they will then need to improve the quality of the city to make sure that it remains attractive in the long term, while also dealing with a realistic and dynamic water system.

As with other Paradox titles, Cities: Skylines will also offer a lot of space for gamers to mod the game in order to make sure that they get the kind of experience they want from it.
