The development team working at Epic Games China, which is also known as Yingpei Games, has announced that it is working on a new video game project called Mercenary Ops, which will be launched both on the United States and on the European markets towards the end of the year.

Based on how well the game does, the developers could also launch the game on the Asian market.

The game will be powered by the Unreal Engine 3, modified by the local team, and will be played from a third-person perspective.

Gamers will be able to use cover in order to get protection from enemy fire and the gameplay seems pretty similar to that offered by similar Western shooters that use the same mechanics.

A version of the game is being shown at the Game Developers Conference event and the game will only be launched on the PC, at least initially, with the business model used still a mystery.
