The development team at the Montreal studio of publisher Ubisoft is delivering the first in a new series of three making of videos linked to the upcoming Child of Light, the title that will mark the debut of a new game creation program at the company.

The company is trying to allow players to peek behind the curtain and see exactly how the game experience is being created, with a focus on the beautiful and unique game world.

Ubisoft says, “Aurora's journey takes place in the soft, colourful and magical universe of Lemuria. Come and see how it has been designed and realized at the studio in Montreal.”

Child of Light is set to be launched on the PC, the PlayStation Network from Sony, the Xbox Live service from Microsoft and the eShop for the Nintendo Wii U on April 30.

The entire experience is created using a new set of development tools that Ubisoft hopes will appeal to smaller developers who are interested to work with the company .

The role playing and platforming mix will allow gamers to play as Aurora and her unlikely allies as they try to bring the sun, the moon and the stars back to a land that’s terrorized by the Queen of the Night and her forces.
