The Mob Rules studio, made up of a number of developers who have worked together before on the MMO Champions Online, has invited players to visit their Kickstarter page in order to donate money for their prototype development fund and choose what they will be working on.

The three options offered are: Guerrilla Gorilla, a squad based strategy game, Haunts, a competitive horror game, and The Last Second, a temporal action puzzle game.

Anyone can donate between 1 and 20,000 dollars (about 14,000 Euro) to the prototype development fund for Mob Rules and get a chance to vote on what they will create.

The developers say that they will not consult gamers for each small decision linked to the chosen project but they believe that using Kickstarter will get them closer to the fans.

Rick Dakan, who is one of the co-founders, stated, “We have visions for each of these games. Part of our vision is to get some wisdom from our crowd of voters. ... inviting you to be an integral part in creating some exciting new games and building a game studio that is answerable directly to you.”
