Sony has confirmed that it’s aware of a certain issue that’s currently affecting the PlayStation Vita handheld console, preventing it from playing PS minis games.

The PlayStation Vita was released last week and, since then, things have gone pretty smoothly for Sony, managing to avoid some of the issues that affected the console’s Japanese launch.

There are still some problems, as PlayStation Plus subscribers who got free PS minis titles aren’t able to play them on their new PS Vita devices. They can download and install the small games, but an error code appears when they try to start them.

Sony has confirmed to Edge that it’s aware of this issue and that a fix will be made available as soon as possible.

Until then, it seems that certain PS minis titles won’t be playable on the Vita.
