PS4 or Xbox one editions of the game aren't on Konami's radar

Konami's Dave Cox has revealed that the PC version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 looks almost like a next-gen experience, although he declined to confirm whether the game might be ported over to the PS4 or Xbox One.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow impressed quite a few fans of the franchise, and the upcoming sequel promises to take things even further, concluding the storyline and bringing a drastically improved visual experience.

According to Konami's Dave Cox, by far the best-looking version is the PC one.

"The PC version is almost like a next-gen version," Cox told GameSpot. "The limitations of the [Xbox 360 and PS3]...we can push that back. We designed the game engine for next-gen in mind. We knew that this would be the last game we did on current-gen, so in many ways the PC version is almost like a test run for us."

Cox added that Konami wasn't ruling out a PS4 or Xbox One adaptation of Lords of Shadow 2 but "it's not something that's on our radar right now."

As such, just PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 owners will be able to play the new game.
