14 DAY TRIAL // Konami has released a new trailer for the upcoming action-adventure game that will serve as the conclusion to the Lords of Shadow storyline, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
For the very first time in the series, players will take control of Dracula, the legendary vampire, and assist in him gradually regaining his former strength in order to emerge victorious in his ultimate test: fighting his Arch-nemesis, Satan.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will have players battling through a much less linear setting, an almost open world background. They will guide the vampire through a modern city and then return to Dracula's castle to face the Belmont family, before foiling the conspiracy set in motion by the Lords of Shadow.
The new video revolves around the powerful Void Sword, a mystical weapon known for its restorative powers. Once acquired, it will allow Dracula to channel the very life force of those he attacks. The game will introduce an improved combat system, and the vampire will gradually earn a series of powerful abilities as players progress through the storyline.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is scheduled to release on February 25 for North America and February 27 for Europe, coming on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.
