Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was just launched, but it seems that the development team is already working on downloadable content for the title, which is called Revelations and will apparently focus on the role Alucard played in the story.

AllGamesBeta quotes internal game files as saying that "The immersive story is expanded further as new branches of the plot are uncovered, along with rich new environments and challenging puzzles. Fight creatures of darkness and discover the true extent of Alucard's involvement in Dracula's story, his deal with death and his fight against Satan."

Developer MercurySteam and publisher Konami say that all those who play Revelations will be better able to put together the narrative of the most recent Castlevania title.

The two companies have not offered any launch date for the DLC and have not confirmed its content at the moment, although an announcement could come in a few days.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 can be played on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony, and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and was delivered on all three platforms last week.

The game has not been well received by critics and by fans because it mixes too many mechanics and fails to create a solid and engaging story.
