Video game publisher SEGA and Disney Interactive announce that they are collaborating on a remake of the classic Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, which is expected to arrive on the PC, the Xbox Live service from Microsoft and the PlayStation Network from Sony during summer of this year.

The original game was launched during 1990 and quickly became one of the best adventures featuring Mickey.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse will have new graphics, designed for High Definition consoles and rebuilt gameplay mechanics.

The storyline will remain unchanged.

Chris Olson, the vice president of Digital Business at SEGA of America, states, according to AllGamesBeta, "The original Castle of Illusion was tremendously entertaining and has a well-deserved reputation as a SEGA classic. Castle of Illusion Featuring Mickey Mouse brings this great game to a new generation. Mickey is back and he looks fantastic."
