Video game publisher Capcom announces that it is planning to launch Monster Hunter Frontier G on the PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony sometime during 2014.

The game was first released in 2007 only on the PC and since then, the company has announced ports for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Wii U from Nintendo.

Given that the core game was never launched on Western markets, it is highly likely that the Vita version will also be available only in Japan.

Gamers who own the PS3 port will be able to activate cross-play.

Monster Hunter Frontier G is updated by Capcom via expansion packs, but it is not clear whether they will be included in the new version of the game.

Capcom has recently announced that it has no plans to launch the new Monster Hunter 4 on the Vita, because it wants gamers to experience it on the 3DS.
