Video game publisher Capcom has apologized again for Street Fighter x Tekken, saying that the Xbox 360 manual wrongly talks about a multiplayer mode that is only offered on the PlayStation 3 from Sony.

The PS3 gamers can mix and match local and online players for four-player multiplayer battles while the Microsoft home console requires all the four players to be either online or offline.

Christian Svensson, who is one of the producers working on Street Fighter x Tekken, stated, “The reason for this difference is because of the architecture differences between gamertags and PSN IDs.”

He added, “I’m not sure of the technical details, but basically it amounts to: Sony made it so you can mix and match online and offline, and Microsoft made it so you can’t.”

Capcom has recently also apologized for the fact that it included 12 new characters for the game on the disk but will only allow players to access them once the PlayStation Vita of Street Fighter x Tekken is launched during the fall.
