Developer Campo Santo has just revealed its first creation, a first-person mystery and exploration game titled Firewatch.

The dev team is assembled from people who worked on The Walking Dead Season One, Mark of the Ninja and BioShock 2 among others, and the team has just released their official blog.

The game is a single-player affair, set in the Wyoming wilderness, where players take on the role of Henry, an extreme recluse who operates as a lookout for forest fires, with his only human connection being a handheld radio through which he communicates with Delilah, his supervisor.

The studio teased that "something strange" will determine Henry to leave his watchtower, and players will embark on a journey of exploration through an unknown environment, facing many questions and making numerous interpersonal choices that can either build or destroy the only relationship in the protagonist's life.

Firewatch has been in development for the last few months and still has a way to go, with the scheduled deployment date set for 2015, for PC, Mac and Linux, although the devs have also noted that they are "actively exploring" a potential port for consoles.

For now, not much is known about the game, as its creators have decided to remain as reclusive as their protagonist, but the team certainly has the potential to deliver something great.
