Major League Gaming, one of the main eSports event organizers, announce that they are planning to launch the Winter Invitational for Call of Duty: Ghosts on January 20, with all the matches set to stream on the official website.

The competition will last for three weeks and will feature the top teams that are focused on the shooter from Infinity Ward and Activision.

The official site of the Winter Invitational for Ghosts offers a full schedule so that fans can already plan which matches they are interested in seeing.

This year will be a big one for shooter fans as Major League Gaming and Activision have announced that they are also organizing a championship for Call of Duty that will have overall prizes of 1 million dollars (750,000 Euro).

The new title in the series has failed to reach the sales totals of Black Ops 2 so far, but Infinity Ward still has plans to offer long-term support via DLC.
