Infinity Ward boss Mark Rubin has once again talked about the hypothetical Wii U version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, confirming that, despite a confirmation last week, the game is far from actually happening.

Call of Duty: Ghosts was confirmed last month for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. At E3 2013 last week, it received plenty of new details, including facts about the potential Wii U version that's been rumored for some time.

A statement from Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin has apparently confirmed the project, but he’s now admitted to GamesIndustry that he doesn't know what's going on regarding Ghosts on Wii U.

"I was trying to say in the interview [that] I really don't know and I'm not supposed to talk about it. I'm not supposed to talk about the fact that I don't know."

Rubin didn't rule out the Wii U as a potential platform but, as of right now, no details can be shared with owners of the Nintendo console.
