108 teams will have a chance to split significant prize money

Video game publisher Activision and organizer Major League Gaming announce that the first major tournament featuring the soon-to-launch Call of Duty: Ghosts will be held in late November in Columbus, Ohio.

Gamers will be able to showcase their skills with the first-person shooter during three days of competition, which will include 108 teams.

Players can also join the event in order to see the best tactics for the multiplayer side of Ghosts and improve their own performance.

MLG will offer 50,000 dollars (37,000 Euro) in prizes and the winning team will take home 20,000 dollars (14,000 Euro).

The event is set to take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and tickets and more details are offered on the official website of Major League Gaming, which will also stream the entire tournament.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be launched on the PC, current-gen consoles and the Wii U on November 5.
