14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision are keen to promote the new Extinction game mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts and are doing so via a new trailer, called First Contact.
As the name implies the footage is carefully choreographed to deliver an increasing level of tension as a squad of four soldiers meets the aliens enemies for the first time.
Players will need to deal with a variety of alien types and more info about them will be delivered close to launch date.
Extinction is an unlikely addition to Call of Duty because it focuses on cooperative gameplay against an alien horde, with some scavenging and base defense mixed in.
The new mode will receive the same amount of attention as traditional single and multiplayer from Infinity Ward.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be out on November 5 on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, the PC and the Wii U.
