The team is making more progress on graphics than on AI

Mark Rubin, an executive producer working on Call of Duty: Ghosts at Infinity Ward, says that his team currently does not have access to finished versions of next-generation hardware, which is slowing down some development tasks.

He tells The Official PlayStation Magazine that, “We are making big strides.”

However, some tasks are being delayed until “we actually get the hardware. We need some hardware, some finished hardware, before we can really expand.”

It’s unclear whether Rubin was talking about the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 or both devices.

It seems that the Artificial Intelligence of the computer enemies is the main affected area of the game.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be out on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 later during the year.

Current-gen and PC versions are coming on November 5.
