Video game developer Sledgehammer Games, publisher Activision and Gfinity are announcing that the European Championship finals for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are set to take place in London, United Kingdom, between February 28 and March 1.

The competition is designed to offer space for the best 28 teams from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden and the rest of Europe and the Middle East to do battle in order to select the best of the bunch.

The winners will have the chance to go to the world finals for the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare championship, which will run in Los Angeles between March 27 and March 29.

The total prize pool for the competition is 1 million dollars (840,000 Euro).

All the action can be watched live on Twitch by those who love the first-person shooter from Sledgehammer Games and Activision.

The two companies have recently delivered the Havoc DLC for the title on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, and the same content will also be deployed on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 on February 3.

Three more packs will be introduced for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in the coming months, before the new title from Treyarch is fully revealed.
