Call of Duty: Black Ops II was announced earlier this week and interest in the game is already at an all-time high, as retailer Amazon has revealed that the new sequel has registered three times as many pre-orders as the first Black Ops.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 impressed tens of millions of players during the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011, setting new records that were beat only by last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Now, with the upcoming Black Ops II, it seems that interest is once again on the rise, as retailer Amazon revealed to MCV that it has registered three times as many pre-orders for the sequel on its first day than the original Black Ops.

Given the fact that lots of intriguing pre-order bonuses are offered by a variety of retailers, you can expect the number of pre-orders to keep on rising before the game’s release on November 13 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
