Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 developer Treyarch confirms that it's not going to include the successful Supply Drop system from last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare in its new game, instead opting for a new system called Gunsmith that allows for cosmetic improvements to your weapons.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched last November and delighted quite a lot of shooter fans through its intense multiplayer mode as well as the special Supply Drop system that gives players random bits of loot, like weapons, equipment, and other such things.

Now, Treyarch has presented the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, which is set to appear in November. While talking about the title's new features, the studio confirms, via CharlieIntel, that Supply Drops won't be included in the new title.

Instead, there's a new Gunsmith mode that allows for cosmetic customization of weapons, as players can use camos made by Treyarch, as well as paint options made by themselves via the Paintshop component.

These customized guns can then be used in the multiplayer through the Create-a-Class mechanic but more details aren't available just yet.

Expect to hear and see more of Black Ops 3 in the near future, as we get closer to its debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 6.
