The teams at Infinity Ward and Activision might be getting ready to reveal the next Call of Duty first-person shooter, but Black Ops 2 is not going down without a fight and players that are still interested in the multiplayer can try the Revolution DLC for free in the coming weekend.

The free trial period starts on Friday, May 24, at 10 AM Pacific Daylight Time and ends on Tuesday, May 28, at 10 AM PDT, says MP1st.

The Revolution downloadable content is important to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 because it introduces the first weapon that’s not available to the entire community, the Peacekeeper sub-machine gun.

Many players in the community believe that the weapon is somewhat overpowered and encourages gamers to pay in order to gain a competitive advantage.

The new title in the series is called Ghosts.
