Expect new gear versions to appear soon enough

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games confirms that it's going to bring new elements to the game in the near future, including Royalty Elite variants and non-akimbo versions of the SAC3 sub-machine gun via supply drops.

Call of Duty fans were quite surprised to see the addition of the new Supply Drop mechanic in the Advanced Warfare multiplayer mode, as the system brings a randomness element, not to mention a loot variation one more akin to role-playing games or shooters like Borderlands than previous Call of Duty experiences.

Since the game's debut, the mechanic is a hit, and slowly but surely Sledgehammer has added fresh gun variations as well as plenty of other rewards for all Advanced Warfare players.

Now, it confirms on Twitter that the game's supply drops will receive extra gear such as royalty elite variants of different guns, not to mention non-akimbo (aka single-wield) versions of the SAC3 sub-machine gun.

More details are set to appear tomorrow, according to Sledgehammer, so expect to see just how these new things are coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Judging by past new content drops, they might be exclusive, for a certain time, to Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the shooter.
