After a short teaser was launched, the development team at Sledgehammer Games is announcing that it plans to make the Gun Game mode a part of the coming weekend action in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, offering double the regular experience for all those taking part.

The official Twitter account of the studio says that gamers will also be able to engage with a new playlist that features one-shot kills for snipers and that more gear than usual will be offered.

More information will be revealed before Friday rolls around, when all the events will probably go live.

Sledgehammer Games has not said exactly how Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will handle the Gun Game concept.

The mode usually features a list of weapons that gamers need to move through, with the one who manages to get the first kill with the final one getting the victory.

It’s unclear whether the team will allow gamers to define them or if they will offer already created lists of weapons.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the first title in the series to include both energy weapons and exo-skeletons, which means that Gun Game will play out very differently than it did in Ghosts or other titles.
