14 DAY TRIAL // Since Destiny was announced, Bungie has said that all the content in the game is available for those who want to get through it solo, but it seems that some areas of the game will only be open to those who are at least a little social.
Jason Jones, a designer working on the title, is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “we’re going to give you as many opportunities as we possibly can to expose you to other people, so that hopefully you’re drawn into some social experiences, because those are incredibly powerful and interesting, but we’re not going to force those on you.”
Basically, the toughest areas of the game are designed to be tackled by groups and any player who enters them solo will be able to play but will face almost inevitable defeat.
Bungie wants to launch Destiny on September 9, 2014 on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and current-gen consoles.
