14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Double Fine working on the classic adventure title Broken Age announces that it is launching the game via the Steam digital distribution service using a Season Pass rather than the Early Access option.
The studio believes that Act 1 of the game, which is at the moment available for all those who have backed the game on Kickstarter, will be offered on January 28 on the PC, Mac and Linux.
The team says that Act 2 is still in development, but it is confident that it can launch it before the end of the year.
The change from Early Access to Season Pass was prompted by a number of logistical reasons.
Double Fine is also offering a new video for Broken Age, which features main character Vella.
The team states, "Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow."
