The development team at Bohemia Interactive says that it will launch the single-player campaign for its upcoming military simulation Arma 3 in three separate and free episodes that will be offered after the core game experience has been delivered to fans.

The first piece of content, called Survive, will arrive in one month, and the following two are called Adapt and Win.

This means that the initial launch of Arma 3 will consist of: the islands of Altis and Stratis, 12 single-player showcase missions, 5 factions, 9 multiplayer scenarios, 10 firing drill challenges, 20 vehicles, 40 weapons and a scenario editor.

Joris-Jan van ‘t Land, the project lead working on Arma 3, states, “After talking a lot about a focus on quality over the last year, it simply did not feel right to compromise now. Rather than pushing back the entire game, we launch this year with an awesome package – a splendid kick off for the Arma 3 experience.”

Arma 3 will be out on the PC before the end of the year.

UPDATE: The actual launch date for Arma 3 has been set for September 12.
