The community devours content faster than the studio can produce it

The development team at Blizzard working on World of Warcraft says that it is very hard to create a new expansion every year for the MMO because of the amount of content that players are asking to be included.

Cory Stockton, the lead content designer working on the title, tells Rock, Paper, Shotgun that, “The team is making its biggest effort ever to do that. We’re growing. We have people working on tons of different things – more than one at a time.”

During BlizzCon the studio announced that it was working on a fifth full expansion called Warlords of Draenor, which would take players back in time and will increase the level cap for character to 100.

Gamers will also get access to more dungeons and a new narrative-driven set of quests to explore.

Warlords of Draenor for World of Warcraft does not yet have a launch date.
