Players who've yet to reach level 40 can apply for a refund this month

Blizzard has apparently started offering full refunds to Diablo 3 players in South Korea after customers were unable to access the game due to Battle.net server problems, which only displayed the Error 37 message.

Diablo 3 was launched last month all over the world and reached huge sales. Sadly, the actual release was tarnished by outages in Blizzard’s Battle.net service, which made many players encounter all sorts of error messages and left them unable to play the game they had actually bought.

This caused a serious problem in South Korea, where angry players even reported Blizzard to the Fair Trade Commission because it didn’t want to offer refunds.

Now, the studio has apparently backed down from its harsh stance and has confirmed in a post on its South Korean blog that refunds will be handed out to players who’ve yet to reach level 40 from June 25 to July 3.

Those who’ve yet to reach level 20 are also eligible for refunds, but only if it's within 14 days of purchase from now on.

As of yet, it’s unclear if Blizzard is going to extend this refund policy to other countries.
