Daedalic Entertainment's new turn-based role-playing game is now available for Windows PC and Mac, on several popular distribution platforms.

Apart from the standard edition, Blackguards is also available in the deluxe edition, which comes with the game along with a 150-page artbook.

The game features over 180 uniquely designed battlemaps, in order to provide an ever-changing experience, and the campaign completion time is approximated at around 40 hours.

Players can lead up to five different characters in an adventure set to beautifully hand drawn backgrounds, each of them with a different choice of skills and abilities that will determine the tactics used on the field of battle.

The battlefields are scattered with interactive objects such as flammable gas, barrels and bee hives that players can make use of in order to gain a tactical advantage during the engaging turn-based skirmishes.

The strategic role-playing game was initially supposed to come out during Q3 2013, but was delayed in order to ensure the best quality and experience possible.

Due to the community feedback collected during the game's early access period, players will be able to create their own custom characters from scratch, as opposed to using one of the three pre-made characters, falling into the familiar RPG archetypes.

Blackguards is available on Steam and GOG with a 10 percent discount during the launch week.
