Sporting retro 2D graphics and bearing a similarity to Super Smash Bros never hurt anyone

Tiny Build Games has announced their upcoming game BitBrawlers, a user-generated two-dimensional multiplayer arena game with colorful retro pixel graphics.

BitBrawlers prides itself as being the first user-generated combat arena game. As such, it allows players to create their own weapons, abilities, game modes and environments, all for the sole purpose to knock other players off-screen.

Players will be able to play either locally or online with people all across the world, using the varied environments and their hazards to their advantage in trying to knock opponents off-screen. To assist in this daunting task comes masterful swordplay, along with some powerful spells.

The upcoming indie game is slightly similar to Super Smash Bros, as well as to other multiplayer arena titles that seem to be constantly popping up lately, although that doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. Especially considering the "do it yourself" element of the game, which will no doubt allow creative users to come out with really impressive and skill-testing designs.

For now, the process through which players will build the user-generated elements remains a mystery, but we'll keep our eyes open and report when more information is available.

BitBrawlers currently has a spring 2014 release window, scheduled to come out on Steam and other platforms.
